中文课 Chinese Language K-12
课程面向有一定中文听说基础的学生，旨在培养学生对中文和中华文化的浓厚兴趣，形成初步的听说读写能力， 养成良好的中文学习习惯。课程采用《中文》暨南大学教材，阶梯性开设K-12年级，每学年学完一本书，并完成配套练习册。
Courses are designed for students who have a certain foundation in Chinese listening and speaking. We aim to cultivate students’ strong interest in Chinese culture and good habits in learning Chinese language , help students get skills and abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing .The text books for these classes are "中文" by Jinan University.
CSL (Chinese as Second Language)
课程面向无任何中文基础的学生，秉承寓教于乐的理念，采取各种灵活的教学方式，培养学生对中文的兴趣，引领学生初步进入中文殿堂，为进一步学好中文打下良好基础。

中文阅读与写作 Chinese reading and writing
阅读是一场体验、发现、思考、感同身受的过程，而写作是把这些体验以及孤立的字、词有机结合的创造。多年来，快乐谷中文学校一直致力于探索海外孩童持续学习中文、了解中国文化的有效模式 ，期望通过阅读与写作结合的方式，让孩子们领会阅读的方法，同时把对写作的望而生畏转化成提笔可写的状态，开发“我手写我口”、“我手写我心”的动力和兴趣。

课程介绍：学习历史是了解一个国家文化的重要部分。本课程将以中国历史上的著名人物为核心，讲述人物背后的故事，走进他们生活的时代背景，一探究竟。课程内容涵盖中国历史上重要的政治家、文学家、科学家等，按照朝代顺序，梳理中国历史发展的基本脉络。用一个个生动有趣的小故事，来解读抽象的历史概念。（建议中文达到四年级及以上水平的同学选课）
Learning history is an important part of understanding different cultures. This course will focus on famous figures in Chinese history, finding out their stories as well as the social and political backgrounds of the times they lived in. The course content covers important politicians, writers, scientists, etc., and sorts out the basic context of Chinese historical development in the order of dynasties. Abstract historical concepts will be interpreted through vivid stories. (Students who have reached the fourth grade or above in Chinese are recommended to take courses)

计算机深度学习基础课 Introduction to Computer Deep Learning
该课程讲解计算机深度学习所必需的前期知识。通过对一些必要基础知识学习，为以后学习深度学习做好准备。注意，本课不是计算机深度学习课程，只在最后会展示一些简单案例。课程主要以numpy，opencv，pandas和matplotlib库为主。numpy是数学矩阵运算工具，不会过度深入讲解矩阵，只是基本使用。opencv是目前最主要的视觉相关的库，会学习主要功能以及一些简单案例。pandas是数据处理的注意手段，功能比Excel强大很多。Matplotlib是主要的科学绘图工具，用于展示结果。（建议6年级及以上（school district grade level)的学生选修此课程，使用过或了解python编程。本课程需要学生带自己的电脑参加课程学习。）

Note that this is not a deep learning course itself; instead, it will conclude with a few simple examples. The course primarily focuses on the libraries: numpy, opencv, pandas, and matplotlib.
- **numpy**: A tool for mathematical matrix operations. The course will not delve deeply into matrix theory but will cover basic usage.
- **opencv**: The leading library for computer vision. Students will learn its main functions and go through a few simple examples.
- **pandas**: A powerful data processing tool that is much more capable than Excel.
- **matplotlib**: The primary scientific plotting tool used to display results.
**Requirements:** Grade 6 or above (school district grade level) and familiarity with or knowledge of Python programming. Please bring your own laptop to the class.
