重要声明:

        为保障教学秩序及维护家校双方权益，特作如下声明。家长在为学生完成报名手续时，即视为已阅读、理解并无条件接受本声明及《快乐谷中文学校学生报名说明》中之全部条款与规定。

1. 年龄限制声明：所有新生家庭及即将进入幼儿园的儿童家长请注意：仅限于在入学当年8月31日（含当日）前满四（4）周岁之儿童方可报名参加本校课程。未达此年龄标准者，报名将不予受理。
    
2. 开学日期说明：2025年秋季学期定于九月十三日（周六）正式开学。(非周日！)
    
3. 教学地址：Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School;   1530 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801
    
4. 缴费时间与现场服务：开学当日中午12:15起，学校工作人员将在教学地点现场办公。请家长于当日及时完成缴费手续，以免影响学生正常入班。
    
5. 缴费所需资料：缴费时，请务必携带打印版报名确认邮件，以便核验。
    
6. 确认邮件说明：完成注册后，家长将收到两封确认邮件：（1）一封为标准收据格式，供现场缴费时使用（参见第5条）；（2）另一封包含一个Google表单链接，家长可通过该表单修改原始报名信息，或在需更换课程/添加课程时再次提交。
   请注意：如未在邮箱收件箱中查收邮件，请及时检查垃圾邮件（Spam）文件夹。
    
7. 退课及退款规定：（1）在第三次上课日前提出退课申请且经学校批准者，除注册费外，其余费用可全额退还；（2）自第三次上课日当日及其后提出之退课申请，恕不予退还任何费用。
    
8. 教师评估权利声明：如任课教师基于专业判断认为某学生尚未具备参与课堂之准备或能力，学校有权要求该学生退课，相关退款安排将依照第7条执行。
    
9. 支票退票责任说明：如因家长提交之支票被银行退票，学校将加收**$30**作为银行手续费补偿，并要求家长重新足额缴纳原应支付之学费。未缴清费用者，学生将不得入班上课。
10. 家长应依本校相关规定按时履行其值日义务。如家长在新学期开学前未完成规定次数的值日任务，学校有权按每人每学期10美元的标准收取清洁服务费用。 
11. 学生接送：第二次及以后每次接孩子晚于5：20者，将收取 $10/人 的迟到管理费用。
     

Important Notice (Draft)

To ensure proper educational administration and protect the rights of both the School and enrolled families, Happy Valley Chinese School (hereinafter “the School”) hereby issues the following notice. By completing the registration process, parents and guardians are deemed to have read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to all provisions in this Notice and in the Happy Valley Chinese School Student Registration Policy.

1. Age Eligibility Requirement:
   New families and parents of children entering kindergarten please note: Only children who have reached the age of four (4) on or before August 31 of the enrollment year are eligible to register for any course offered by the School. Registrations that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted.
    
2. Fall Semester Start Date:  The Fall 2025 semester is scheduled to officially begin on Saturday, September 13. (Not Sunday!)
    
3. Class Location: Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School;   1530 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801
    
4. Payment & On-site Services:
   On-site school staff will be available starting at 12:15 PM on the first day to process tuition payments and handle related matters. Parents are strongly encouraged to complete payment on that day to avoid delays in class participation.
    
5. Required Documents for Payment:
   Parents must bring a printed copy of the registration confirmation email when making payment.
    
6. Confirmation Emails:
   After completing online registration, parents will receive two confirmation emails: (1) A standard receipt email, to be printed and presented at on-site payment (see Section 5); (2) A second email containing a Google Form link, which allows parents to update registration details or add/modify course selections.
   If the confirmation emails are not found in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
    
7. Withdrawal and Refund Policy: (1)  If a withdrawal request is submitted and approved before the third class session, all fees except the non-refundable registration fee will be fully refunded; (2) No refunds will be issued for withdrawals submitted on or after the third class session.
    
8. Instructor Evaluation Clause:
   If a teacher determines, based on professional judgment, that a student is not ready to participate in a class, the School reserves the right to require the student’s withdrawal. Refunds will be issued according to the policy outlined in Section 7.
    
9. Returned Check Policy:
   In the event of a returned check due to insufficient funds or other banking issues, the School will assess a $30 penalty fee to cover bank charges and will require prompt repayment of the original tuition amount. Students with outstanding balances will not be permitted to attend classes.  
10. Parents are required to fulfill their designated duty-day obligations in accordance with the School’s policies. In the event that a parent fails to complete the required number of duty days prior to the start of a new academic term, the School reserves the right to impose a cleaning service fee of $10 per time per semester.   
11. Second and subsequent late pick-ups: a late fee of $10 per occurrence per student will be charged for picking up later than 5:20pm. 

 报名诵读的家长，抱歉让您更辛苦一点，请单独发邮件给我，您的姓名，地址，电话，孩子的姓名。我们会一起收费（因为Google的表格是编程的，之前的增减课时，已经造成很多错误，我们就不再调整Google表格了，对给您增加的工作量，我们表示诚挚的歉意。

诵读的时间：3-4点。

本课程由杨筱艳老师授课：杨老师，硕士，毕业于南京师范大学，英语专业，曾从事多年教育工作。
 

        诵读这门课的核心是 “情感共鸣”。诵读者需先理解文本的情感基调（如激昂、悲伤、温婉、豪迈等），再通过声音的轻重、快慢、高低变化传递情感。在这个课程中，教师将以教材为诵读的主要材料，指导孩子们朗读，以促进他们对文本的理解，所谓“书读百遍，其义自现”。另外，我们还会认真挑选一些文字工整、优美的补充材料用扩展孩子们的朗读范围。

        多年来，不少家长对暨南大学出版社的《中文》教材表示不满，认为其词汇量偏低、内容陈旧、语言不够优美，难以激发学生学习中文的兴趣与热情。为了提升中文教学质量，并在董事会的大力支持与推动下，中文学校决定自今年起启用人民教育出版社的《语文》教材。

鉴于周末授课时间有限，学校对中文课程安排作出如下调整：

• K班：教材保持不变； 
• 一年级：使用《人教版语文一年级（上）》； 
• 二年级：使用《人教版语文一年级（下）》； 
• 三年级：使用《人教版语文二年级（上）》； 
• 四年级 （原四-五年级合班）：使用《人教版语文二年级（下）》； 
• 五年级 （原六-七年级合班）：使用《人教版语文三年级（上）》； 
• 六年级 （原八-十年级合班）：使用《人教版语文三年级（下）》或AP中文课程。 
• AP中文：教材： AP  Chinese Language and Culture Premium, Fourth Edition: Prep Book with 2  Practice Tests + Comprehensive Review + Online Audio (Barron's AP Prep) ，请家长自行购买（Amazon上有）。 

               这两个班，原则上只开一个班，如有足够的申请人数，我们将邮件通知各位家长。

       一年级--六年级的教材费：包括《人教版语文书》，以及《五三练习》。暑假填报《调查表》的家长，有优先购买教材权。如果家长当时没有填报调查表，报名时间又比较晚，我们的教材储备不足的话，请家长选择自行海购，或者联系学校帮忙海购（学校将统计，平摊空运费用到各个家长名下，但不负责影响孩子晚拿到书本的责任）。

        我们希望借助更具系统性和文学性的教材，切实提高学生的汉语听说读写能力，在有限的课堂时间中真正教会孩子们足够的字、词、句，帮助他们真正掌握汉语，而不仅仅是“上了几年中文课”的形式学习。

我们的计划是，根据大家的报名情况，家长集中选择的上课时间段，课时长，报名水平，调整班级设置。

如果平时学得好的小朋友，以后想只上周末的班，可以在下次入学时，根据水平，选择是否跳级。

       成绩优异者（前2.5%）可晋级 AIME

深度学习基础课 – 图像处理及简单模型应用Foundations of Deep Learning: Image Processing & Basic Model Appl

本课程由王延庆老师授课，建议六年级及以上学生选修此课程。学生需具备基本的 Python 编程经验或至少了解 Python 编程语言。本课程要求学生自带笔记本电脑上课，不支持 Chromebook。

深度学习进阶课 —— 基本CNN原理与YOLO模型应用Advanced Deep Learning – Introduction to CNNs and YOLO Models - **视觉模型**

本课程由王延庆老师授课，适合高中生或初中高年级学生，需具备扎实的 Python 编程基础，或者学过之前“深度学习基础课”的同学。本课程以项目实践为主，概念讲解相对简洁，适合具有一定技术能力的学生。

学生需自带可联网的笔记本电脑（不支持 Chromebook）。 部分项目可能需要使用 GPU 云计算资源，如使用国内平台，预计花费约人民币 ¥50–100 元。

本课程由 Olivia Shen (12th Grader) 授课，为期一个学期 （课堂环节含游戏）。  

This  financial literacy program helps middle schoolers build real-life money  skills through games, projects, and fun activities. Students will learn  how to save, budget, earn, and spend wisely.
